Egg Hunt for Easter

Eva had TWO egg hunts in one day for Easter! Her first Easter egg hunt was with our Stroller Strides class. After a great workout, we went to a nearby park and the kids hunted through the playground equipment to find all of their eggs. Eva caught on quickly to the whole tradition and started cramming the chocolate into her mouth. I think this was her first experience with candy. Pandora's Box is now officially open!

Later that evening, Eva's friend, Loch, had an Easter Egg Hunt. We had so much fun! Jeff was able to join this time. We enjoyed relaxing and we were able to watch the kids have a good time together.

We look forward to more Easter festivities!

Chesnut the Bunny Visits!

Today at the Bellevue College Parent Ed program we had a visitor! Chestnut the Bunny! Eva had never seen a real, live bunny before. She's quite enamored with her stuffed bunnies so words can't express her excitement to actually touch and pet a real bunny. She wouldn't leave the bunny's side and she exhibited no trepidation whatsoever to pet him. It was quite the introduction to Easter Week. We have many more egg hunts and parties to come so stay tuned for more photos!

UW Cherry Blossoms

After a week of staying indoors with a sick baby, I packed our bags and headed to Jeff's work with Eva in tow, snotty nose and all. Friday was the first glimpse of spring that we've had, and the relentless rains and gray skies were starting to get to us. The day turned out to be gorgeous with blue skies and not a drop of rain in sight. Every year we make a point of going to UW's Quad to see the cherry blossoms and they did not disappoint. Eva was completely blown away by the blossoms and kept running along the cobblestone path trying to reach up and touch the flowers. You would never know that the kid had a fever and a bad cold for the entire week with the pace that she kept up on that campus. We just kept following the blur of a pink tutu with our camera perched ready to take a photo for the rare moment when she stood in one place for a second. We had such a good time. It made up for all the days that we spent indoors this week.
